Notes:
Trans 3 - we wanted some chocolate, so we got some chocolate!
Trans 4 - this one shocked the hell out of me. I like the Olay stuff and wanted to splurge. These items aren't giving any +UPs; they're buy one, get one 50% off and I had a whole pile of coupons to bring my total down quite low. I'd expected to spend about $8-10 for everything in the end. The cashier was scanning my coupons and the last "buy body wash, get lotion free" wouldn't go through. We couldn't figure it out until we realized that the third coupon had brought my total down to $3.42. She was going to adjust the last coupon down, but I said I'd just pay the difference and hang on to the extra one. I had no idea what was going on until I closely examined my receipt and discovered that one of the lotions was clearanced down to $2.24. That's why my total was so low!
Trans 5 through 7 - hit the stationery/office supplies aisle at your Rite Aid. TONS and TONS of all sorts of different products are giving +UPs. One example is the pack of pencils for $.99ea; these give back a $2 +UP for each pair. Same with the wooden rulers at $.99ea. Other items are giving back $2 per item, many of which are $1.99, discounted to $1.79 with the Wellness+ card. Darice craft items are giving back a $5 +UP for each two purchased, so if you can find items for $2.50ea or under those are free or at a profit. Pilot EZ Touch pens are $2.29ea and give back a $4 +UP for each two purchased, making those $.29ea. My store was stocked to the gills on all these items so I just kinda chucked a bunch of stuff in the cart and had the cashier ring items up until my total was in the $25 range so I could use a $5 off $25 coupon. This is the last week we'll be able to use those so I had one last hurrah with 'em.
